Cuenca's main residential zones (El Vergel, Tomebamba corridor, Centro Histórico) are compact and walkable. Most daily errands require no transport at all. For trips beyond walking range, use Uber, InDriver, or yellow taxis. Public buses are functional and cost $0.30 per ride.
