Before You Arrive

Program Dates

The program runs from December 15, 2026 to March 15, 2027. Our first major community event will take place on Friday, December 18, and our final goodbye gathering will be on Friday, March 12. For the fullest experience, plan to be in Cuenca for both dates if possible.

Getting Here

Cuenca (CUE) — Small airport, $3–5 taxi to center. Most flights connect through Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE).

Guayaquil (GYE) — Main international gateway. 35-min domestic flight or ~4-hr bus to Cuenca.

Neighborhoods

Most participants settle in El Centro (walkable, historic), El Vergel (quieter, residential), or along Calle Larga (cafés, nightlife). Furnished apartments: $400–700/mo.

Book Online Before You Arrive

With a large group arriving at once, suitable apartments fill up fast — don't count on finding something in person. Secure your rental online before December 15th.

⚠ Double-check you're searching for Cuenca, Ecuador — not Cuenca, Spain. Some listing sites default to the Spanish city.
