Cuenca has electronics stores along Av. de las Américas and in Millenium Mall and Mall del Río. Stock includes adapters, cables, hard drives, keyboards, and basic peripherals. Brand selection is limited and prices are typically 20–40% higher than online retail in the US or Europe.

What You Need to Know
Ecuador uses 110V/60Hz with standard US-style flat two-pin plugs. European and UK travelers need adapters (readily available, $2–$5).
Repairs & Service
Laptop repair shops are concentrated around commercial streets near the historic center. Best technicians are typically found through word-of-mouth from coworking spaces rather than blind walk-ins — ask at IMPAQTO or Selina reception for current recommendations.

Reported as the authorized Apple service point. Search their Facebook for current address. MacBook parts often need to be sourced from Quito.
Outdoor Gear
Cuenca's outdoor gear retail is limited. Look for Base Extreme (Federico Proaño 3-100 y Ricardo Tamariz) for trekking poles, rain jackets, hiking boots, and backpacks.
The most reliable approach if hiking, camping, or multi-day treks are on your agenda.
Quito has better-stocked outdoor retail including North Face and Columbia.
