Be at the center of 100 people
discovering a new city together
We're looking for a small team of natural connectors — people who walk into a room and start bringing others together. You'll organize the dinners, the hikes, the coworking sessions, the moments that turn 100 strangers into a community.
In exchange: free ticket, free accommodation, and a central role in the entire 3-month experience in Cuenca, Ecuador.
You already do this naturally
You're the person who walks into a new coworking space and starts introducing people. You organize the dinner that turns into the best night of the trip. You find the hidden café and immediately text the group. You don't need a title to bring people together — you just do it.
“I'm working from this café today if anyone wants to join.”
“Who wants to grab dinner tonight? I found the perfect spot.”
“Weekend hike to Cajas? I'll organize it.”
A week in the life
Monday morning
Plan-the-week breakfast with the core team. You divide up who’s hosting what, share what worked last time, and scout a new café for tomorrow’s coworking session.
Tuesday afternoon
You post in the group: “Coworking from the rooftop terrace today.” Thirty-five people show up. You spot two founders working on similar problems and introduce them.
Wednesday evening
Founder roundtable at a local restaurant. Twenty people sign up, you cap it at 16 to keep it intimate. You facilitate, make sure the quieter voices get heard. Everyone leaves inspired.
Thursday
Your day off. You work on your own projects, explore a new neighborhood, or just recharge. The community runs itself today — other hosts have it covered.
Friday night
The big community dinner. Sixty people at the restaurant you scouted earlier this week. Someone brought a guitar. You look around the long table and think: I helped create this.
Saturday
You lead a group hike to Cajas National Park. Forty people signed up. Cloud forest, páramo lakes, 4,000 meters. Everyone’s exhausted and happy on the bus ride back.
Sunday
You notice someone who hasn’t joined many events yet. You message them directly. Small moments like this are what make a growing community feel personal.
What you get in return
10–12 hours per week of your time. In exchange, your entire 3-month Cuenca experience is covered.
Free Ticket
Full access to the 3-month community program — every event, every activity, every connection.
Worth $699 (~€649)
Free Accommodation
3 months of housing with the core team. Private bedroom, shared living spaces in a beautiful Andean city.
Worth ~$1,000 (~€900)
Central Role
Be at the heart of everything. Behind-the-scenes access, direct collaboration with Matthias, and a leadership story to tell.
Priceless
Total value: ~$1,700 (~€1,549) — yours in exchange for ~12 hours/week
What we ask
10–12 hrs/week
~2 activities per week. Plenty of time for your own work.
Full 3 months
Consistency is key. The core team is there the entire time.

Cuenca Documentary Director
You enjoy observing people, capturing real moments, and telling human stories. You are interested in documenting what happens when strangers live and work together for a limited period of time.
The goal is to document the Cuenca Pioneers experience over three months and turn it into a 60–80 minute documentary film. The film should explore what happens when independent workers and founders move to the same city and form a temporary community. Matthias serves as the central protagonist, while several participants are followed closely to show their motivations, challenges, and how their lives or work evolve during the season. The focus is not tourism but people, relationships, tensions, and personal change.
- •Following Matthias as he organizes and runs the program and documenting the challenges behind it
- •Selecting and following 4–6 participants with strong personal stories to show their journey
- •Documenting both positive moments and tensions that naturally arise in a temporary community
- •Recording interviews at different stages of the experience to capture change over time
- •Filming key moments such as arrivals, community events, honest conversations, and informal gatherings
- •Editing the material into a 60–80 minute documentary that explores the impact of the experience
